Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Services and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG), which rose 3.60% or 0.160 points to trade at 4.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Power (PS:AP) added 2.69% or 1.10 points to end at 41.95 and Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL) was up 1.96% or 44.00 points to 2294.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 1.79% or 0.120 points to trade at 6.590 at the close. Energy Develop (PS:EDC) declined 0.88% or 0.060 points to end at 6.750 and Intl Container (PS:ICT) was down 0.77% or 0.600 points to 77.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 102 to 84 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1167.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.83% or 0.38 to hit $45.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.90% or 0.43 to trade at $48.28 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.18% to 7.3293, while USD/PHP rose 0.27% to 46.575.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 95.11.
