Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 2.89% or 560 points to trade at 19970 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 2.51% or 142 points to end at 5806 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.26% or 21 points to 1689 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which lost 1.30% or 14 points to trade at 1065 in late trade. Discount (TA:DSCT) declined 1.26% or 8.0 points to end at 627.0 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) shed 0.94% or 13 points to 1372.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 216 to 132 and 105 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.24% or 0.10 to $41.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.34% or 0.15 to hit $44.33 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.21% or 15.10 to trade at $1233.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.7842, while EUR/ILS rose 0.26% to 4.2628.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 94.92.
