Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Transport, Media & Publishing and Energy & Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 3.31% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Saudi British Bank (SE:1060), which rose 3.29% or 0.70 points to trade at 22.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Halwani Bros (SE:6001) added 2.50% or 1.50 points to end at 61.50 and Anb Insurance (SE:8011) was up 0.45% or 0.25 points to 56.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250), which fell 10.76% or 1.55 points to trade at 12.85 at the close. BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) declined 10.26% or 1.60 points to end at 14.00 and Saudi Pharmaceutical Appliances (SE:2070) was down 10.25% or 2.85 points to 24.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 163 to 3.
Shares in AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) fell to 5-year lows; down 10.76% or 1.55 to 12.85. Shares in BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) fell to all time lows; losing 10.26% or 1.60 to 14.00. Shares in Saudi Pharmaceutical Appliances (SE:2070) fell to 5-year lows; falling 10.25% or 2.85 to 24.95.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.16% or 0.35 to $30.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.81% or 0.24 to hit $30.43 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1086.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.11% to 4.0870, while USD/SAR fell 0.10% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 98.93.
