Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Real Estate and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 2.02% or 290 points to trade at 14670 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 1.38% or 670 points to end at 49130 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was up 1.27% or 0.8 points to 63.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.16% or 147 points to trade at 3383 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.61% or 1550 points to end at 57880 and Teva (TA:TEVA) shed 2.03% or 460 points to 22180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 202 to 110 and 141 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.10% or 0.67 to $31.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.33% or 0.11 to hit $33.16 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 2.15% or 26.30 to trade at $1248.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.11% to 3.9157, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.3156.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.35.
