Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.88% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 8.00% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.810 at the close. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) added 2.40% or 0.400 points to end at 17.100 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 0.62% or 0.010 points to 1.630 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 4.11% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.400 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 4.04% or 0.560 points to end at 13.300 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 3.61% or 0.015 points to 0.400.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 6 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.18% or 1.00 to $44.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.01% or 13.60 to trade at $1330.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3660, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7894.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 95.35.
