Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 0.22% or 0.020 points to trade at 8.965 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) fell 0.50% or 0.14 points to end at 27.66 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 0.68% or 0.035 points to 5.095 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 3.59% or 0.156 points to trade at 4.194 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.26% or 0.1800 points to end at 5.3450 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 2.32% or 0.190 points to 7.990.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 138 to 45 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.22% or 1.61 to $48.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.92% or 1.39 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.47% or 6.35 to trade at $1335.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.1206, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8451.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 95.50.
