Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Auto & components, Energy and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 2.64% or 3.40 points to trade at 132.00 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 2.40% or 3.2 points to end at 136.6 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 1.42% or 1.00 points to 71.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 9.60% or 0.19 points to trade at 1.79 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 6.39% or 2.1 points to end at 31.2 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) shed 4.27% or 1.4 points to 31.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 78 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.49% or 1.11 to $43.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.37% or 1.53 to hit $43.84 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.20% or 28.45 to trade at $1265.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.05% to 9.3635, while USD/NOK rose 0.08% to 8.2132.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 94.05.
