Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 1.93% or 0.17 points to trade at 9.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.90% or 0.130 points to end at 6.965 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 0.77% or 0.04 points to 5.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 1.37% or 0.51 points to trade at 36.64 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.23% or 0.0360 points to end at 2.9020 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 0.99% or 0.42 points to 42.12.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 89 and 1 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.73% or 0.33 to $44.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.55% or 0.23 to hit $41.42 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.08% or 0.80 to trade at $1064.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.0619, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.7045.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 99.93.
