Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.14% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 4.07% or 0.98 points to trade at 25.05 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.09% or 0.055 points to end at 5.115 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.70% or 0.030 points to 4.286 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 1.39% or 0.048 points to trade at 3.396 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.03% or 0.0380 points to end at 3.6500 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 0.69% or 0.24 points to 34.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 63 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.72% or 0.36 to $50.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.59% or 0.29 to hit $49.62 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1207.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1138, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.7609.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.72.
