Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Multi Investment and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.68% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240), which rose 10.93% or 5.15 points to trade at 52.25 at the close. Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110) added 9.40% or 0.70 points to end at 8.15 and National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010) was up 7.85% or 1.90 points to 26.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290), which lost 3.82% or 1.10 points to trade at 27.70 in late trade. Red Sea Housing Services Company (SE:4230) declined 2.23% or 0.55 points to end at 24.15 and Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012) shed 1.94% or 0.60 points to 30.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 118 to 34 and 15 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.79% or 0.30 to $38.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.13% or 0.46 to hit $41.30 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.87% or 11.00 to trade at $1275.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.08% to 4.1332, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.07.
