SYDNEY, Dec 7 (Reuters) - The Australian dollar AUD=D4 dropped around a third of a U.S. cent on Wednesday after the economy contracted in the third quarter for the first time since 2011.
The data prompted markets to slightly increase the chance of another interest rate cut, albeit not for some time.
The Aussie dollar fell to $0.7430, from $0.7465 before the data, to be down 0.4 percent on the day. The Aussie hit $0.7373 last month, its lowest since June.
