Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 2.58%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which rose 6.55% or 17.1 points to trade at 278.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 5.73% or 80 points to end at 1475 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was up 5.48% or 37.9 points to 729.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 6.23% or 277 points to trade at 4170 at the close. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) added 0.48% or 20 points to end at 4155 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 0.65% or 90 points to 13850.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 317 to 52 and 81 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.64% or 1.01 to $39.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.96% or 0.83 to hit $43.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.56% or 18.00 to trade at $1135.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.68% to 3.8596, while EUR/ILS fell 1.18% to 4.4052.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.33% at 94.62.
