Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.93% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which fell 0.28% or 0.07 points to trade at 24.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) fell 1.35% or 0.35 points to end at 25.56 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) was down 1.37% or 0.51 points to 36.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 4.88% or 0.1940 points to trade at 3.7800 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V) declined 3.08% or 0.36 points to end at 11.32 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) was down 2.99% or 0.180 points to 5.850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 149 to 22 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 3.25% or 1.58 to $47.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.13% or 1.78 to hit $41.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.11% or 12.40 to trade at $1129.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.1065, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.7070.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.86.
