Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 4.17% or 1.59 points to trade at 39.73 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.38% or 0.18 points to end at 13.27 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.31% or 0.48 points to 37.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 0.56% or 0.022 points to trade at 3.908 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) declined 0.52% or 0.07 points to end at 13.35 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 0.33% or 0.09 points to 27.31.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.29% or 1.05 to $46.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.54% or 0.67 to hit $44.25 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.38% or 5.05 to trade at $1321.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1241, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8507.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.33.
