Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Electricity and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN), which rose 4.61% or 0.160 points to trade at 3.630 at the close. Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) added 4.25% or 0.37 points to end at 9.07 and Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) was up 4.23% or 0.230 points to 5.670 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which lost 6.06% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.240 in late trade. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 4.40% or 0.64 points to end at 13.90 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) shed 3.39% or 0.040 points to 1.140.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 168 to 153 and 84 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.03% or 0.45 to $1325.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.21% or 0.10 to hit $47.43 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.08 to trade at $49.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 2.9399, while EUR/TRY fell 0.31% to 3.3041.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.11.
