Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Real Estate and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 4.28% or 11.8 points to trade at 287.2 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 3.49% or 0.9 points to end at 27.3 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 2.73% or 0.23 points to 8.67 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Statoil ASA (OL:STL), which lost 1.40% or 2.0 points to trade at 140.8 in late trade. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) declined 1.03% or 0.32 points to end at 30.61 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 1.00% or 0.18 points to 17.76.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 112 to 49 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.86% or 0.80 to $42.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.14% or 0.97 to hit $44.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.46% or 6.15 to trade at $1334.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.26% to 9.4397, while USD/NOK rose 0.24% to 8.5894.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 97.33.
