Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.59% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV), which rose 0.44% or 0.14 points to trade at 31.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) added 0.18% or 0.05 points to end at 28.10 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) was down 0.04% or 0.01 points to 28.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 4.53% or 0.1860 points to trade at 3.9180 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) declined 3.42% or 1.17 points to end at 33.09 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) was down 3.24% or 1.34 points to 40.01.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 143 to 29 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 3.24% or 1.96 to $58.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.59% or 1.44 to hit $54.08 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1166.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1079, while EUR/GBP fell 0.67% to 0.7093.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 96.28.
