Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 2.35% or 310 points to trade at 13520 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.46% or 55 points to end at 3815 and Nice (TA:NICE) was up 1.02% or 230 points to 22710 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 3.44% or 2510 points to trade at 70500 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 3.42% or 7.8 points to end at 220.0 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was down 3.39% or 500 points to 14250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 180 to 153 and 121 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.44% or 2510 to 70500.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.69% or 1.38 to $35.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.70% or 1.04 to hit $37.69 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.23% or 13.10 to trade at $1074.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.26% to 3.8843, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 4.2500.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 98.20.
