Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Food & Beverages and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 1.32% or 0.100 points to trade at 7.700 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 1.25% or 0.005 points to end at 0.405 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.21% or 0.020 points to 1.670 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 3.00% or 0.410 points to trade at 13.240 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.85% or 0.005 points to end at 0.265 and Milpo (LM:MIL) shed 1.72% or 0.050 points to 2.850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 11 to 6 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.71% or 0.36 to $50.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1264.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3580, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6587.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 98.64.
