Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.79%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 5.41% or 0.335 points to trade at 6.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Anima Holding SpA (MI:ANIM) added 4.50% or 0.38 points to end at 8.70 and Finmeccanica (MI:SIFI) was up 4.19% or 0.550 points to 13.670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which fell 0.25% or 0.0300 points to trade at 11.9700 at the close. Saipem (MI:SPMI) added 0.06% or 0.0050 points to end at 8.0150 and Ansaldo STS (MI:STS) was up 0.10% or 0.01 points to 9.73.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 329 to 102 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Finmeccanica (MI:SIFI) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.19% or 0.550 to 13.670.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.23% or 0.10 to $42.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.68% or 0.32 to hit $45.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.50 to trade at $1071.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.0628, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.7026.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 99.76.
