Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa), which rose 0.22% or 0.5 points to trade at 227.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 0.05% or 0.1 points to end at 212.4 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was down 0.06% or 0.10 points to 170.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 3.12% or 2.65 points to trade at 82.20 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 2.44% or 3.20 points to end at 127.90 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) was down 2.06% or 5.5 points to 261.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 369 to 202 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.48% or 1.02 to $40.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.38% or 0.60 to hit $43.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 2.32% or 24.60 to trade at $1085.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.44% to 9.2408, while USD/SEK rose 0.06% to 8.4879.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 98.28.
