Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.16% or 460 points to trade at 11520 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 3.76% or 400 points to end at 11050 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 3.09% or 7.2 points to 240.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nets A/S (CO:NETS), which lost 1.76% or 2.10 points to trade at 117.50 in late trade. Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) declined 1.17% or 3.3 points to end at 279.3 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) gained 0.17% or 0.7 points to 424.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 46 and 11 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.36% or 0.71 to $53.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.89% or 0.49 to hit $55.61 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 4.65 to trade at $1234.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.33% to 6.9720, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4341.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 100.56.
