Investing.com – Financial markets platform Investing.com has reached a milestone in its growth; making Alexa’s list of the world’s Top 500 Global Sites.
The company ranked 496 as of Monday and was at 500 on Wednesday.
"We are tremendously proud to break into the Alexa Top 500 global rankings," said Mickey Winitsky, the company’s co-CEO. ``This is an important affirmation of Investing.com's mission: to empower the individual investor by making financial markets more accessible."
Investing.com provides free financial news and data. The website has more than 20 million monthly users, hosts 180 million monthly sessions and has over one billion monthly page views. The site reaches users in all countries with its 42 international editions.
"All of our growth throughout the years has occurred organically," said Shlomi Biger, co-CEO of Investing.com.
The company was founded in 2007. In Dec. 2012, it purchased the Investing.com domain name for $2.45 million, the second-largest domain purchase of that year. The company has grown from 50 million page views per month in 2013, to 400 million in 2016 and more than 1 billion today.
The Alexa ranking adds to Investing.com's growing recognition. The site covers 200,000 financial instruments and offers customized portfolios, personal alerts, calendars, calculators, and financial insights.
