Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.53% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which rose 5.28% or 1.13 points to trade at 22.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 2.66% or 0.84 points to end at 32.44 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 2.64% or 0.3200 points to 12.4300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tod'S (MI:TOD), which fell 1.11% or 0.85 points to trade at 75.40 at the close. Mediaset (MI:MS) declined 1.00% or 0.042 points to end at 4.162 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was down 0.76% or 0.13 points to 17.01.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 253 to 175 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.94% or 0.39 to $42.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $44.91 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.64% or 6.80 to trade at $1063.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.0566, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.7022.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 100.28.
