Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 1.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which rose 2.89% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank of Cyprus PCL (AT:BOCr) added 2.41% or 0.004 points to end at 0.170 and ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) was up 1.56% or 0.05 points to 3.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which fell 8.40% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.48 at the close. Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) declined 6.47% or 0.009 points to end at 0.130 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 6.36% or 0.034 points to 0.501.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 27 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 2.19% or 25.70 to $1150.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.65% or 0.30 to hit $46.24 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.25% or 0.12 to trade at $49.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.38% to 1.0965, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.7168.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 97.44.
