Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 2.13% or 0.69 points to trade at 33.02 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 1.54% or 0.58 points to end at 38.31 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.17% or 0.040 points to 3.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 1.69% or 0.54 points to trade at 31.35 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) declined 1.68% or 0.29 points to end at 16.95 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) shed 1.43% or 0.125 points to 8.595.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 71 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.40% or 0.20 to $49.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.53% or 0.26 to hit $48.91 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 2.47% or 29.95 to trade at $1242.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.64% to 1.1336, while EUR/GBP rose 0.96% to 0.7806.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.53% at 94.10.
