WELLINGTON, July 29 (Reuters) - Statistics New Zealand said Friday some upcoming unemployment statistics due to be published Aug. 3 will be delayed until Aug. 17 after it revised previous figures.
"The delay will give time to check the June quarter figures following the redevelopment of the Household Labour Force Survey earlier this year. It will also allow time to finalise the statistics and complete the quality assurance process and analysis of changes," it said in a release.
The Household Labour Force Survey will be released Aug. 17, while the June quarter figures for the Quarterly Employment Survey and the Labour Cost Index will be released as planned on Aug. 3, it said.
In late June, Statistics New Zealand revised its seasonally adjusted first quarter unemployment rate to 5.2 percent on Wednesday from 5.7 percent after adjusting how the data is measured.
