Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Telecoms and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 16.58% or 3.72 points to trade at 26.16 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 2.57% or 4.3 points to end at 172.1 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 2.21% or 6.2 points to 286.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.32% or 1.0 points to trade at 21.7 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 3.55% or 9.8 points to end at 266.8 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) shed 2.47% or 0.61 points to 24.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 82 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.18% or 0.60 to $50.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.84% or 0.44 to hit $51.97 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1254.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.26% to 9.0680, while USD/NOK rose 0.59% to 8.2302.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 97.95.
