Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 1.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF), which rose 3.66% or 167 points to trade at 4730 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 3.25% or 1950 points to end at 62000 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 3.14% or 48 points to 1577 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which lost 1.84% or 700 points to trade at 37280 in late trade. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 0.97% or 7.0 points to end at 712.0 and Teva (TA:TEVA) shed 0.55% or 110 points to 19980.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 230 to 92 and 117 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.27% or 1.10 to $49.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.32% or 1.14 to hit $50.31 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.80 to trade at $1289.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.27% to 3.8568, while EUR/ILS rose 0.22% to 4.3726.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.73% at 93.61.
