Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.65% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V), which rose 3.97% or 0.87 points to trade at 22.79 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 3.71% or 1.15 points to end at 32.16 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 3.50% or 1.03 points to 30.43 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.55% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.655 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.32% or 0.012 points to end at 3.728 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) gained 0.13% or 0.02 points to 15.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 121 to 45 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 2.03% or 0.87 to $43.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.62% or 1.08 to hit $42.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.68% or 20.80 to trade at $1255.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.1370, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.7904.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 93.99.
