Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Media and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 2.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 8.12% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) added 7.33% or 3.0 points to end at 44.4 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) was up 5.56% or 2.50 points to 47.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which fell 2.30% or 0.77 points to trade at 32.73 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) declined 1.74% or 0.52 points to end at 29.44 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was down 1.26% or 2.0 points to 157.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 124 to 55 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.24% or 0.11 to $45.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.45% or 0.21 to hit $48.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.10% or 12.40 to trade at $1114.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.12% to 9.5217, while USD/NOK rose 0.60% to 8.5258.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 96.49.
