Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 4.46% or 1.2 points to trade at 28.8 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 3.87% or 0.36 points to end at 9.52 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 3.42% or 1.19 points to 36.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which lost 5.03% or 0.5 points to trade at 8.5 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 2.58% or 0.15 points to end at 5.66 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 2.15% or 0.03 points to 1.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 79 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.52% or 0.76 to $49.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.60% or 0.81 to hit $49.81 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1270.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.01% to 9.3642, while USD/NOK fell 0.38% to 8.2952.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 93.87.
