Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 5.00% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.252 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 1.67% or 0.005 points to end at 0.305 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 1.56% or 0.050 points to 3.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 18.82% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.069 at the close. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) declined 5.49% or 1.40 points to end at 24.10 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was down 4.10% or 0.050 points to 1.170.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 6 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) fell to all time lows; down 18.82% or 0.016 to 0.069.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 5.53% or 1.75 to $29.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 4.70% or 1.61 to hit $32.63 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.30 to trade at $1129.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.23% to 3.4930, while EUR/PEN rose 0.39% to 3.8034.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 98.88.
