Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA), which rose 3.82% or 1.43 points to trade at 38.84 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.95% or 0.105 points to end at 5.490 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.92% or 1.05 points to 55.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 10.19% or 0.680 points to trade at 5.990 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.67% or 0.3000 points to end at 7.8650 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 1.16% or 0.075 points to 6.380.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 75 to 59 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.76% or 1.91 to $48.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 3.99% or 1.91 to hit $45.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.29% or 16.07 to trade at $1232.43 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.79% to 1.0972, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.8493.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 98.67.
