Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 9.03% or 2.30 points to trade at 27.77 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 1.05% or 5.5 points to end at 528.5 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 1.02% or 1.8 points to 178.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which lost 4.84% or 9.00 points to trade at 177.10 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 2.47% or 1.85 points to end at 72.95 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) shed 2.26% or 3.40 points to 146.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 289 to 276 and 68 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.85% or 0.83 to $43.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.84% or 0.85 to hit $45.35 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.68% or 9.00 to trade at $1322.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.23% to 9.4973, while USD/SEK rose 0.83% to 8.6640.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 97.54.
