MELBOURNE, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Australia's Santos STO.AX said on Thursday it expects sales from its Gladstone liquefied natural gas (GLNG) project to ramp up to around 6 million tonnes a year by the end of 2019 and stay at that level.
That is well below the plant's full capacity of 7.8 million tonnes a year, with the company under pressure to deliver more gas into the domestic market to avoid export restrictions.
Santos is the operator of GLNG, with a 30 percent stake. Its co-owners are Malaysia's Petronas, France's Total SA TOTF.PA and Korea Gas Corp 036460.KS .
