Investing.com -- U.S. oil stockpiles unexpectedly rose in the latest week, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.
Crude inventories increased by 2.346 million barrels last week, compared with analysts' expectations for a draw of 418,000 barrels.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 396,000 barrels in the week against expectations for a draw of 1.007 million barrels, the EIA data showed.
Gasoline inventories rose by 3.256 million barrels last week the EIA said, compared with expectations for a draw of 279,000 barrels.
