WELLINGTON, Jan 12 (Reuters) - Prices for New Zealand's main commodities rose 0.7 percent in December for their eighth consecutive monthly rise, ANZ Bank's commodity price index showed on Thursday.
The gains were largely driven by dairy prices, the country's main export earner, which rallied in the second half of 2016, though recent auctions suggest a cooling at the end of December.
On an annual basis the index was up 16.5 percent.
