Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.92% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 4.27% or 1.29 points to trade at 31.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 2.84% or 0.71 points to end at 25.70 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 2.76% or 0.60 points to 22.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V), which fell 4.78% or 0.57 points to trade at 11.35 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 3.45% or 0.77 points to end at 21.53 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.50% or 0.095 points to 6.225.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 112 to 65 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.30% or 0.14 to $47.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.50% or 0.68 to hit $44.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1162.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.86% to 1.1010, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.7175.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.75% at 97.16.
