Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 6.25% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.340 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.58% or 0.250 points to end at 9.950 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 1.75% or 0.005 points to 0.290 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Milpo (LM:MIL), which lost 4.08% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.350 in late trade. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 4.07% or 5.900 points to end at 139.100 and Minsur (LM:MINi) shed 3.20% or 0.040 points to 1.210.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 5 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $48.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $48.82 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.49% or 19.00 to trade at $1255.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3395, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7262.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 95.30.
