April 15 (Reuters) - - Iraq's state grains board has purchased 50,000 tonnes wheat to be sourced from Australia in a tender which closed this week, European traders said on Friday.
The wheat was purchased at $251.50 per tonne cost and freight (c&f) free out, they said. Free out means the quoted prices includes the cost of unloading the grain from the vessel.
U.S. wheat had been offered at the lowest price in the tender at $238 per tonne c&f free out, they said.
Shipment and delivery was sought 75 days after the opening of a letter of credit to finance the purchase, traders said.
