JAKARTA, May 2 (Reuters) - Indonesia's energy ministry announced on Wednesday four winning bids in its 2018 oil and gas block tender that opened in February, including Lion Energy LIO.AX and units of ENI ENI.MI and Repsol REP.MC .
The ministry awarded winners for four of the five blocks tendered as direct offers, while 19 other blocks are on offer in the regular tender which closes on June 19, it said in a statement. [https:// table below shows the results of the tender.

The East Papua work area will be re-tendered in a subsequent bidding round, the ministry said.
Direct offer tenders are preceded by a joint study process, in which oil and gas companies and the government work together to develop seismic data for certain blocks. Companies involved in the study gain rights to match bids once the blocks are offered in the tender, discouraging other participants.
