JAKARTA, May 9 (Reuters) - Coal production in Indonesia, the world's top exporter of thermal coal, could decline by up to 14 percent in 2016 from 2015, the country's top coal industry association said on Monday.
Indonesia's coal production is expected to decline to a range between 380 million and 400 million tonnes this year, as compared with 440 million tonnes in 2015, Pandu Sjahrir, chairman, Indonesian Coal Mining Association, told Reuters.
Of this quantity, around 300 million tonnes would be exported, he added.
