(Stats buro corrects Q3, Q4 q/q sales growth)
WELLINGTON, Feb 27 (Reuters) - New Zealand retail sales volumes rose 0.6 percent in the fourth quarter, Statistics New Zealand said on Monday, correcting its previously reported figure of 0.8 percent.
Sales had risen 0.7 percent in the third quarter, rather than the 0.8 percent reported.
The corrections were due to fixing an error in the calculation of the fuel deflator, the statistics agency said in an emailed statement.
Sales rose 4.2 percent in the fourth quarter from a year earlier. The figure did not change from that reported earlier.
