BEIJING, Oct 24 (Reuters) - China's coal imports from North Korea rose 2 percent in September from a year earlier to 1.799 million tonnes, but were off more than a quarter from August's level, customs data showed on Monday.
The world's top coal producer and consumer also raised imports from Indonesia in September by 65.6 percent on a year earlier to 3.74 million tonnes, although purchases from top supplier Australia eased 4.5 percent to 5.86 million tonnes.
Imports from Mongolia in September rose 187 percent year on year to 2.74 million tonnes.
