Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.36% or 1.30 points to trade at 31.10 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 3.13% or 0.85 points to end at 28.00 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 2.51% or 2.80 points to 114.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which lost 3.26% or 5.0 points to trade at 148.3 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 3.13% or 0.5 points to end at 15.5 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 0.98% or 1.30 points to 131.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 61 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.85% or 1.37 to $46.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.88% or 0.94 to hit $49.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.16% or 15.65 to trade at $1330.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 9.2579, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.2234.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.76.
