SYDNEY, Jan 6 (Reuters) - December iron ore shipments to China from Australia's Port Hedland terminal, used by BHP Billiton (LON:BLT) BHP.AX and Fortescue Metals Group FMG.AX , rose 11 percent to 37.4 million tonnes in December from 33.7 million tonnes in November, port data showed.
Overall shipments from the world's biggest iron ore export terminal increased to 43.9 million tonnes in December from 41.2 million tonnes in November, according to the Pilbara Ports Authority.
