SYDNEY, Feb 6 (Reuters) - January iron ore shipments to China from Australia's Port Hedland terminal, used by BHP Billiton (LON:BLT) BHP.AX and Fortescue Metals Group FMG.AX , fell 7.8 percent to 34.5 million tonnes in January from 37.4 million tonnes in December, port data showed.
Overall shipments from the world's biggest iron ore export terminal fell to 40.3 million tonnes in December from 43.9 million tonnes in December, according to the Pilbara Ports Authority.
