Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Information Technology, Plantations and Power & Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.14% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Colombo City Holdings PLC (CM:PHAR), which rose 32.52% or 227.00 points to trade at 925.00 at the close. Meanwhile, PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 14.29% or 0.10 points to end at 0.70 and Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS) was up 11.76% or 0.20 points to 1.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ), which fell 19.98% or 499.40 points to trade at 2000.00 at the close. Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO) declined 18.41% or 559.70 points to end at 2480.00 and Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO) was down 17.02% or 282.40 points to 1376.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 119 to 107 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 11.76% or 0.20 to 1.90. Shares in Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 17.02% or 282.40 to 1376.60.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.16% or 0.54 to $46.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.28% or 0.14 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.41% or 4.80 to trade at $1184.60 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.10% to 216.740, while USD/LKR fell 0.58% to 140.040.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 94.09.
