Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 0.88% or 0.050 points to trade at 5.750 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 31.000 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.590 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which lost 5.28% or 0.380 points to trade at 6.820 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 4.26% or 0.630 points to end at 14.170 and Panoro (LM:PML) shed 2.99% or 0.004 points to 0.130.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 1 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.89% or 1.34 to $44.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $47.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.75 to trade at $1321.85 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.4155, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8178.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 95.54.
